Review Text

  • By T. Baczynski on 29 March 2010

This book is not for undergraduate. Does not cover all hydraulic issues like side weir design (refer to Hydraulic design of side weirs). The language is as complicated as it can get. It seems like the authors did not know how to explain things in a simple, digest-able way. I definetely am sorry for purchasing this item. Strong no buy item.

This book is simply and clearly put, with worked examples, making it ideal for grasping the concepts required. However, a little bit of colour here or there wouldn't go amiss - would help clarify some images (which can be quite hard to make out in black and white) and add to diagrams.Overall though, a very detailed extensive text, would recommend.

  • By PAVLOS TYROLOGOU on 3 July 2012

This is a very good readable book for the professionals specialize on the field of hydraulics but also to the people which are not directly related to the subject but need to communicate with the specialists.

  • By Cullum Welch on 1 September 2015

The worked examples can prove a bit dense and hard to follow to beginners, but with so much detail once you have the basics down it is better for 2nd/3rd year hydraulics in a university degree.
