Very good enlightening. Must be read with a historical perspective will strengthen your faith and also raise questions for further research

One of my favorite authors on early Christianity!

  • By Andrew B. Campbell on June 12, 2012

I'd say this is a must have for the library of anyone interested in early Christianity. If, however, you are interested in lining up the original text with the English, skip the e-book format and go with the hardcover.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas! He's had it on his wishlist for over a year. I think he's going to love it!

    wonderful item

Overall, this is an excellent resource with interlinear texts. I purchased the Kindle version, which is only problematic in that the reason for purchasing an interlinear text is to see original language and translation side-by-side for textual comparison. The format made it awkward.

This is an excellent sourcebook for those of us with some interest in the world of early Christianity and some small facility with ancient languages.Ehrman here pretty much sets aside the disdain he often shows toward the Christian faith in his more popular works. It's good to have the scholarship apart from the repetitive polemics.
